Hibiscus House is a small, private and personal family-run hotel in the heart
of an African village. The eight well-furnished rooms are set around the pool, jacuzzi
and bantaba - all within a pleasant, relaxing tropical garden.
Hibiscus House provides a comfortable base for visiting
The Gambia's coastal attractions: Abuko Nature Reserve, Brufut Woods, Bijilo Forest Park,
Katchikally Crocodile Pool, Tanji Museum, Serrekunda market etc. Unlike the more
remote parts of The Gambia which you'll reach by boat on your
Discover the River itinerary,
it is relatively easy to get about at the coast. You can do this independently
if you wish, or book an excursion via the hotel. For keen wildlife enthusiasts, however, we
recommend you hire one of our expert local birds & wildlife guides - £35 pp/day for guide,
vehicle, driver & fuel.
Holistic treatments and Pilates sessions are available and are carried out by the
creator of Hibiscus House, Susan Clifford-Webb, who has an International Institute of Health
and Holistic Therapy diploma in Reflexology, Anatomy & Physiology and Indian Head Massage.
